Eric and the guys at 1st Choice are great. Had a cooling problem with my 2012 Nissan X Terra, which left me on the stranded on the side of the road. I called Eric and he took care of the whole thing. We called First Choice at the recommendation of a friend. We had fuel leaking from our truck, which I had identified as a hole in the fuel line. I was going to repair it myself, but wasn’t confident about all the specialty tools I would need.First Choice had my truck for a total of 3 hours and it was fixed.They found that the leak was not in the filter line, but at the fuel filter housing, saving me tons of money!!!Will recommended them to anyone looking for a shop they can trust.

I want to say these guys are awesome every step of the way. They are knowledgeable, friendly. Helpful, very affordable and they call you and give you updates to your repair. I got seval quotes from other places, such as Don riengler chevelot, ammco and a couple other places in killeen and copperouse Cove. But these guys were the best in all areas that I mentioned. I wasn’t going to write a review about my experience, but felt compelled to. A couple of weeks ago my vehicle was damaged and inoperable. On 10/14/22, looked online for auto repair businesses, I immediately saw First Choice Automotive Repair because of its good ratings. So, I decided to give them a call (in retrospect I really should have looked around) to see if I could have my car towed to their shop. I remember speaking to Eric, he informed me of the $134 fee to have my car examined and I agreed; I had my car towed the same morning.A few hours later I received a call from Eric, he told me what was wrong with my car (steering system damage, electric belt drive rack & pinion steering, air bag contact coil, control arms, alignment, fender repair, etc) and gave me an estimate around $5,4000 to have all the damages repaired, and he suggested financing options for the repairs. At this point, I was in a dispute with my insurance company, so I knew there was a chance that I might have to pay for the repairs.A couple of days later, I called back and this time I spoke to Sean, and I asked him how much it would cost to get my running meaning repairing steering system damage, electric belt drive rack & pinion steering, air bag contact coil, control arms, alignment, and waiting to fix the fender another time. He told me to get in back operable it would be $4,409.81 and another $2,205.00 to repair the fender, totaling $6,614.81. I was very shocked because a few days prior, Eric gave me an estimate of $5,400 for all damages, I knew then I had made a bad choice of taking my car there.They were very admit about me coming there and signing the estimate. I went to the shop, and both Eric and Sean were there, so asked what happened to price of the estimate and why did it increase so drastically. They were very dismissive, I remember Sean saying, “oh prices go up and down.” I was very suspicious and upset, but I signed the estimate because I needed to get my car fixed, so I ended up paying the $4,409 to get my car running. I really did not understand, how can the estimate be one amount, especially after my car was fully examined and a few days increase so significantly?So, I filed a complaint with the BBB and Office of the Attorney General, because I truly feel that I was excessively overcharged and charged for repairs that I really do not need. So, I just want people (especially women) to be aware of some businesses predatory practices in an effort to get you to pay more money. This was a lesson learned for me moving forward, I will do my homework when seeking an auto repair shops in the future.Side note: My insurance company did send an appraiser to appraise my car. His estimate total for all damages was $5,664.35.

Awesome service, straight up dudes and efficient. Any complaints on here are from people who are too cheap and expect to get the job done with expectation of "how they believe it should be priced". Good work doesn't come cheap, they have zero knowledge of the industry and just want to complain to feel self rightious, and if there is an issue after you get your car back these guys will help take care of it. Go and find out for yourself, these guys are good dudes. There is a reas9n why there are more 5 star reviews than 1.

2018 Ford F150 4x4 was making humming sound from front end. Carmax sent truck to 1st Choice Auto Repair and I couldn't have been more pleased. Eric called and explained in detail what the issue was (front right wheel bearing and hub assembly) and answered all my questions. Great team! Everyone was super professional at all times, they where able to get my car towed to their shop within the hour from when I called to tell them my issue(super fast) they proceeded to inspect the car to see what the issue was. They order the drive shaft/propeller shaft once they received it, they installed the part and I was able to pick up my Challenger. Plus it has a five year warranty!

I took my car to have some brake work done. I was expecting to pay for my services. They informed me that my brakes were covered under the warranty from last year when I got the brake repair. I liked many things about first choice. One of the things that I like the most is their transparency. They called with what the issue was and gave us time to digest on what our next move should be, and we're very low pressure about it. We went ahead with the repair and a couple days after. I went here this morning and gave the guy at the desk a list of things I need for my BMWX5. I told him I like to get an estimate. The guy said we don't do that here, that not what we do. I was shock. He did not have a name tag but if he did I would have told you his name. I said to myself you going to do work on my car and I don't know how much it going to cost. I thought it was the law to let people know how much it going to cost before you work on their car. Red flag for me. There was 2 other things on the list that he said he couldn't do because he need a machine. Red flag for me because on the website it say they Specialize in Import and Domestic total car care. I took my paper and left and said I will stay with the dealer. Plus the dealer is a in and out service.

This automotive repair shop is amazing. With so many great reviews from satisfied customers, I decided to bring my 2014 Ram 1500 truck to this automotive shop. My Ram had a number of faults as described in my electronic vehicle information center. The personnel at this shop took care of my truck issues in a prompt and professional manner. I was kept informed of the progress of the repairs throughout the entire process. Their fees were very reasonable and Matt was attentive and very courteous. I certainly was not disappointed with the professionalism, quality of work performed, the honesty of the personnel and the promptness in which they repaired my vehicle. If you want your vehicle repaired right and at a reasonable price, then take it to First Choice Automotive. The name says it all. This will be my repair shop from now on. After getting scammed twice by another shop and a mobile mechanic, I looked at first choice automotive to fix my 2008 Ford Focus Clutch.I called the shop and spoke with Matt who had my focus on a tow truck within an hour and as soon as it got to the shop they began working on it.They not only diagnosed the clutch but the entire car and gave me quotes and pictures of everything that was wrong with the car.They did not order any parts without my permission or try to sell me anything I did not want. They kept continuous DAILY communication with me through the entire process.The job was done extremely well and the five year warranty and easy financing with 100 days same as cash option puts your mind at easy.The entire company was very professional especially Matt who I worked with the most.Thank you Matt and the entire team at First Choice Automotive. Honestly Killeen shops will rip you off , this is a nice amazing respectful shop they don’t care if your a woman or man they will still treat you the same , I took my car in I honestly didn’t expect fast service like that due to the traffic they get . I own a 2007 Dodge Durango and, this is the second vehicle I have taken to 1st Choice.I explained to them what happened to the AC and, with in the same week I dropped it off I received a call telling me that they were finished.They were able to replace the parts that were damaged due to where in tear plus a couple other things they found.I received an email with info and pictures of the repairs that need to be done and also services that were needed in the future.They took care of me and family again during a HOT month and, was able to take it out on the road that weekend with COLD AC blowing.Thank you guys we appreciate the hard you put into our vehicle and checking in on us after we received it back.Keep up the great job!!!

My son is stationed at Ft. Hood and his starter went out on 2008 Honda CR-V. Had it towed to nearest place and a week later and $1200 later they told him he had a blown head gasket. I am in North Carolina and did some research and found First Choice with great reviews. We got vehicle over there and Matt took care of us. Called them up and told them my AC problem. They told me to drop it off and they would get it taken care of. Wasn't expecting them to get to it today, but Matt was able to get it taken care of today! So my wife had called a good 20-25 transmission shops from Killeen to Austin...in regards to a full transmission replacement on her car cause she plans on racing it at track and blowing motor and transmission so she can forge and build her motor and transmission in her car every shop that she called told her the cost is some where between 750-1200$ to replace it. The guy that she spoke with flat out refused to give her a quote without seein the car..BTW 124.99$ to bring it to this shop...she explained to him that he was the only shop in a lot of shops that refused to give a "BALLPARK" over the phone. She then threatened to write a bad review he put her on hold...to then more than likely put her on speaker..HAHA then tried to act like "HE JUST COULD NOT GIVE a BALLPARK ESTIMATE/AVERAGE COST" not a GUARANTEE...haha she even tried to explain that an average cost is not something a shop needs to see a car about.All of this being said...if I could have given them a ZERO STAR for customer service and a ZERO STAR for pricing. This shop is a rip off cause THEY MUST SEE YOUR VEHICLE...so you will then have to pay them their 124.99$ look at your car FEE...The guy was super rude to my wife even though she explained all of the above thoroughly to him.

I took my truck in to get wheel hub replaced and I was told I needed to replace my fuel filters and that my oil was extremely low. Fuel filter was replaced and oil was changed both meters were reset two weeks prior to going to the shop. My truck is a diesel those services would have been an extra 500$ Or more. Shops these days are not to honest and nickel and dime you.

Came in with a busted up 91 Jeep Cherokee that wouldn't start and they had me roll back out within a week. Were super transparent with me and kept me in the loop through phone the whole time about the status of the vehicle and issues I wasn't aware of. Always offered for me to look at any issues before they worked on them and never tried to trick me out of any money or do less than what they were paid for. I have used this repair shop for both of my automobiles for years. Just recently my lower ball joint went on my 03 Denali.....called Mon to get it up there and by Tue was done with both upper and lower ball joints, tire rods, and axel. Great and efficient service as well as staff all the time.

I brought my Chevy Colorado in for a diagnostic on a concerning sound I was hearing from the back end. They were able to find the issue in a timely manner and explained other potential issues in simple and understanding terms without “mansplaining” it to me. I felt very respected and not taken advantage of as a woman coming in basically stating, “there’s a sound and I need help!”. I ended up getting my truck fixed with them due to such a great price. The truck was in and out same day! Great customer service and everybody was so friendly! Thank you 1st choice automotive!

These guys are amazing. Matt took our van in when we were denied service at our "go to" mechanic(they quoted us 4k in repairs) but here at First Choice, they repaired our van at a FRACTION of the price. I can't thank him enough for the kindness he showed us. I'd recommend this shop to anyone. They're honest. And nowadays, that's been hard to come by. I hope nothing but the best for Matt, First choice and the entire crew!

I couldn’t be more pleased with the all around service. Eric was very kind from the initial interaction. Frank did an awesome job replacing my emergency brake. I could tell he even topped off my brake fluid, my vehicle is running great. The customer service is also top notch. Eric called a few days after my vehicle was repaired to ensure it was running to my satisfaction. 100% recommend!
